BEYOND THE

Learn from several leaders across all fields about prevalent APA issues, especially APA health...

Asian Pacific Americans (APAs) are currently the fastest growing immigrant group in America, so the need for dialogue and attention towards meeting the unique health needs for APA communities is as important as ever. This conference seeks to critically and intersectionally examine the health needs of the most diverse multi-ethnic racial group in America and the ways in which racism and the model minority stereotype causes psychological, physical, and social harm. The Premedical Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (Pre-Medical APAMSA) also hopes to create the opportunity and the space for healthcare professionals, medical students, undergraduates, and others to reflect on the strategies that would enable quality and competent health care for the increasingly growing and diverse APA communities in the US.
